HARRISBURG, PA. — Pennsylvania Association of Community Bankers President and CEO Kevin Shivers has announced Tara Mead of Dauphin County as its director of communications and marketing. Mead comes to her role at PACB with an extensive background in communications, beginning her successful award-winning career in radio before segueing to public relations in 2008. She has worked in various sectors within the public relations industry, including state government, healthcare, and higher education. In addition, Mead has advised and trained executives and staff in crisis communication, message development, branding, and media relations. She is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and a concentration in political science and lives in suburban Harrisburg with her family. Mead will serve as brand ambassador to drive interest and engagement in PACB, the premier organization advocating exclusively for community banks, their employees, and customers in Pennsylvania. This includes broadening awareness of how community banks work across the Commonwealth to bolster their communities and ensure they are great places to live, work, and raise families.
